Apply for funding
We provide multiple funding opportunities for researchers. You can apply for funding in open calls, but we also offer targeted funding within theme calls and tracks.
Targeted funding [NEW]
In the coming years, our funding approach will shift towards a more targeted approach. KWF will commit to structural funding in thematic tracks that were identified in close collaboration with the oncological field.
Regular calls
In our Programme Research & Implementation you can apply for funding several times a year. We offer open calls for basic research (Exploration), more patient-oriented research (Development), Public-Private Partnerships and Proof of Concepts.

In our project database you will find all the (research) projects we support since 2017. You can filter by institute, cancer type, modality, funding partner, project status, etc. You can also search by keyword.

Bring your ideas and results into clinical practice
In our toolkit you will find information about valorisation and implementation, legislation and regulations, reimbursements by health insurers and external funding opportunities.
