Diagnostiek, behandeling en registratie

In 2013 werd een onderzoekscall (een oproep aan wetenschappers om onderzoeksvoorstellen in te dienen) uitgeschreven met de focus op 2 thema’s:

  1. Verbetering van diagnostiek en/of behandeling in de (na)zorg voor kankerpatiënten.
  2. Registratie van tumorgegevens van patiënten voor het starten van nieuwe behandelprogramma’s. 

Alleen voorstellen die voldoen aan de missie van Alpe d’HuZes en bijdragen aan de missie van KWF Kankerbestrijding zijn in behandeling genomen. 

Resultaat van de call

De oproep resulteerde in maar liefst 177 vooraanmeldingen. Na een eerste selectieronde zijn 43 projectleiders uitgenodigd om een volledige aanvraag in te dienen. Uiteindelijk kwamen 18 projecten in aanmerking voor financiering.

    Update: Deze studie is in juni 2018 voortijdig beëindigd vanwege inclusieproblemen. Dat betekent dat het niet is gelukt om binnen de termijn voldoende patiënten te vinden om aan het onderzoek deel te nemen. Van het projectbudget van € 1.075.230 is € 965.951 teruggevloeid naar het Alpe d'HuZes/KWF-fonds. Dit geld heeft een nieuwe bestemming gekregen binnen de Alpe d’HuZes-thema’s Ambitie, Nieuwe Ontwikkelingen en Hermannetjes.
